A and O Pronouns

There are two different types of pronouns:

       Mine           yours          his/hers
A:    t/āku               tāu              t/āna
(we have control over - partner, children, food)

O:          t/ōku              t/ōu              t/ōna
(same generation or older, transport, house, support body)

Drop the t for two or more objects.

Kei te pēhea tōku matua? ( How is my father?)

Kei te pēhea tāna kuri?  (How is their dog?)

Kei te pēhea a Helen? (How are you Helen?)

Kei te pēhea ngā tamariki? (How are the children?)
